The famous Berry Brothers of St. James. Still in the wine business after 300 years. Nona Sofia has an important meeting here in No True Gentleman. The front side of St. James's Palace. This unassuming building without fences or gardens is arguably the most important of all England's palaces.
The side door into Bow Street Magistrate's Court. (Abandon hope, ye who enter here.) The Covent Garden Piazza, which was not built until 1809.  Click here to read a brief history.
Beautiful doorways in Queen Anne's Gate, above Cockpit Stairs (where Max got hit on the head in No True Gentleman.) The sign of George & Dragon, one of my favorite old inns.  I had to lean out the window to shoot this one.
A view of Exmoor above the Bristol channel. This area is the setting for A Deal with the Devil. The rolling farmland of Somerset. I like to imagine Lord Walrafen riding his horse here.
The elegant little village of Dunster, and high above it, the tower of Dunster Castle. In Giles' book, these become the village of Walrafen and Castle Cardow. The gatehouse at Dunster Castle.
The parapet wall which snakes around Dunster castle. I like to imagine my heroine, Lady Aubrey Farquharson, strolling here late at night. The dramatic Somerset coastline.
The Lamb and the Flag (from Beauty Like the Night) The Prospect of Whitby (from No True Gentleman).
A typical mews in Mayfair, now turned into elegant flats and houses. A view up Chesterfield Street in Mayfair.
Number 4 Chesterfield St., Mayfair.  Beau Brummel once lived here. Number 22, Charles St., Mayfair.  When he was Duke of Clarence, King William IV housed his mistress and their many children there.
A beautiful Mayfair townhouse. This one is in Brook Street. In A Woman Scorned, I gave it a double-front, and used it as Jonet's house. This is Grosvenor Square, surrounded by Regency and Georgian townhouses.
Part of the Serpentine in Hyde Park. A view of the inner courtyard gardens a Thornbury Castle near the River Severn. Parts of the castle inspired my historical, A Deal with the Devil.
The "romantic ruins" at Thornbury Castle. Our room at Thornbury.
A pretty Glouchestershire village of Cotswold stone.  This is what I imagine Cheston-on-the-Water looks like in Beauty Like the Night. This house looks a little like Lord Treyhern's house, Chalcote, in Beauty Like the Night.
